Peter Phillips

Peter Phillips is an accomplished media and technology business leader with a strong track record building high- profile brands and startups. He most recently served as senior advisor to the leadership team at Cameo, a pop culture marketplace, where he helped the business quickly scale past $100M in annual revenue. Prior Peter was Chief Operating Officer at Giphy, the gif database and search engine, where he led all business operations, built the revenue function and co-led fundraising which culminated in a $400M exit to Facebook in 2020. Prior to Giphy he served as EVP and General Manager of Interactive & Distribution at Marvel Entertainment, where he reported directly to the chairman and successfully built and managed its digital media, video games and content distribution divisions. He has also held management roles at Weight Watchers International, Fandango, and Paramount Pictures. Peter often serves as an industry spokesperson and has been interviewed by and quoted in many top industry publications including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fast Company, and Forbes; his accolades include numerous Webby Awards and he is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
