Colossal’s Dire Wolves Mark Their Second Birthday With Healthy Checkups and Plans to Expand the Pack

Romulus leads the trio at 134 pounds and nearly seven feet long, Remus has emerged as pack leader, and Khaleesi weighed in at 102 pounds — with Colossal planning to add more dire wolves to the 2,000-acre preserve.

Romulus and Remus, Colossal Biosciences’ dire wolves, have turned two. On the preserve where they roam, Romulus has grown to 134 pounds, the largest of the trio, while Remus weighs two pounds less; both now measure nearly seven feet from nose to tail. Khaleesi, born in January 2025, weighed 102 pounds at a recent checkup. Healthy checkups were completed for all three.

The trio has formed a pack on their 2,000-acre preserve. Remus has emerged as the group’s leader despite being lighter than Romulus. Wild game including rabbits and deer is available on the preserve, and Colossal is planning to add more dire wolves to the pack.
