Colossal Biosciences Confirms UAE Biovault Partnership and Opens Its Dallas Lab to Media for the First Time

A new research lab at Dubai's Museum of the Future will anchor a planned global biovault network for DNA preservation, as the Colossal Foundation reports $100 million raised for conservation partnerships worldwide.

For the first time, media were invited inside. Colossal Biosciences opened its Dallas headquarters to journalists, offering a look inside what CEO Ben Lamm describes as the most advanced genome engineering lab in the world and confirming a nine-figure partnership with the United Arab Emirates to build a research lab at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, with an accompanying biovault designed to store DNA and biological material from many species as part of a planned global preservation network.

The Colossal Foundation has raised $100 million to support tech transfer to universities, non-profits, and indigenous groups. Maori scientists and groups in New Zealand are among those closely involved in the giant moa revival project. The UAE partnership also includes conservation work on the Arabian leopard, the smallest and rarest of big cats, locally extinct in the Emirates and culturally significant across the Arabian peninsula.
